Stagist at the CNLab from March 2024. Veronica Fontanini obtained her Master's degree in Medical Biotechnologies (Nanobiotechnologies curriculum) at the University of Trieste in 2024. V.F.'s research is aimed at investigating the potential impact of Alzheimer's therapeutics on the blood-brain barrier by constructing in vitro models of the BBB and designing nanoparticles for the delivery of molecules and drugs to the central nervous system. Her expertise includes cell and molecular biology, in vitro assays, optical and confocal microscopy, and nanoparticle synthesis and characterization. She is the author of one review article and one paper (under submission).
