CHALLANGES AND PROSPECTS OF NANOMEDICINE 

FOR BRAIN TARGETING

7th COURSE OF THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF NANOMEDICINE

The Course "Challenges and prospects of nanomedicine for brain targeting" will be held on 1-5 July, 2024 at the internationally renowned «Ettore Majorana» Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture (EMFCSC)  in Erice (Sicily), Italy 


The course aims to present the state-of-the-art and future perspectives in the field, with a series of lectures given by outstanding speakers from the international nano- and medical community. 

All the participants will also have the opportunity to present their own scientific results either by short oral communication or in the form of poster with the aim to encourage and promote networking between young scientists in Nanomedicine and to provide an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of ideas and discussion of new results in the field of these topics:

  Blood-brain barrier models

  Blood-brain barrier alterations in human brain disorders

  New strategies to cross the blood-brain barrier

  Smart nanotechnologies for therapy of neurodegenerative diseases and brain tumours
