mARCELO KRAVICZ

Marcelo Kravicz has a background in polymer and nanoparticle synthesis and characterization. He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Sao Paulo, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirao Preto, where he focused on synthesizing amphiphilic cationic polymers for RNA/DNA delivery. His doctoral research involved the formulation of polyplexes and their transfection efficiency in HeLa cells.  Additionally, he has a Master of Sciences degree from the University of Sao Paulo, where his research involved the preparation and characterization of membranes and hydrogels using silk fibroin and poly(vinyl alcohol). He has also gained international research experience through a scholarship at the Institute of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Freie Universität Berlin, Germany as a DAAD scholarship holder and a short-term internship in Braga, Portugal, where he synthesized di- and tri-peptides for in situ sol-gel applications.
